EDA Infrastructure Engineer (Linux / Server & Storage)

【Background】
Renesas is strengthening its EDA (Electronic Design Automation) infrastructure operating model in Japan. We are looking for an EDA Infrastructure Engineer to support and improve Linux-based servers, storage systems, and related infrastructure that enable semiconductor design and engineering activities, primarily at our Musashi site.
In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams in Japan, existing infrastructure specialists, external partners, and the global Compute & Storage organization. You will contribute to infrastructure operations, technical problem solving, operational improvements, and the transition of infrastructure responsibilities. You will also support hardware quotations, investment requests, and procurement processes when required.

【Responsibilities】
EDA Infrastructure Operations & Technical Support:
• Support and improve Linux-based servers, storage systems, and related infrastructure that enable semiconductor design and engineering activities.
• Work closely with engineering teams in Japan, existing infrastructure specialists, and external partners to resolve technical and operational challenges.
• Contribute to the transition, standardization, and continuous improvement of EDA infrastructure operations.
Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination:
• Collaborate with local users, infrastructure teams, vendors, and hardware resellers in Japan.
• Communicate operational status, issues, and action plans in both Japanese and English.
• Support hardware quotations, investment requests, purchase requests, and related processes when required.
