Internship Overview

Contribute to pre-silicon verification of embedded firmware that controls high-performance power management ICs for data center, AI accelerator, networking, and computing platforms. Work with experienced firmware, RTL, architecture, and validation engineers while building practical skills in embedded systems, simulation, automation, debugging, and engineering documentation.

What You Will Do

• Assist in developing and maintaining simulation tests that exercise ARM Cortex-M firmware with hardware models.
• Execute existing firmware regression tests and help analyze logs, waveforms, memory contents, and register traces.
• Create directed tests for reset, boot, initialization, configuration, sequencing, telemetry, protection, fault handling, and recovery scenarios.
• Write Python, Perl, or similar scripts to automate test execution, result checking, or failure classification.
• Help reproduce issues and isolate whether failures originate in firmware, RTL, hardware models, testbench components, or tools.
• Learn and apply verification practices such as requirements traceability, functional coverage, code coverage, negative testing, boundary testing, and regression quality tracking.
• Document test procedures, results, debug findings, known issues, and recommended follow-up actions.
