Sr Staff engineer- Hardware Development Motor Control Solutions
Job Description
Role Overview :
This role is responsible for technical leadership and execution of hardware development for the RH850 Motor Control and Automotive Application Platform, with ownership of solution development spanning hardware and embedded firmware integration.
The Sr. Staff Engineer serves as a motor control and power conversion domain expert, driving hardware and solution architecture, design quality, and technical execution in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, a hands-on engineering mindset, and a commitment to delivering robust motor control solutions from concept through validation.
Key Responsibilities :
• Lead hardware architecture, design, and implementation for RH850 motor control and automotive application platforms, including development and validation of complete motor control solutions.
• Drive hardware technical decisions, ensuring robustness, scalability, cost effectiveness, and alignment with platform requirements.
• Own hardware execution from concept, design, and validation through qualification and production readiness.
• Collaborate closely with systems, firmware/software, validation, and product engineering teams to ensure seamless hardware‑software integration and successful delivery of motor control solutions.
• Support regulatory compliance, qualification, and Global Market Access (GMA) readiness for hardware deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate hardware‑related technical risks, ensuring predictable execution and high quality.
• Contribute to reference designs, development platforms, solution collaterals and documentation to enable broad customer adoption.
• Act as a technical mentor, influencing best practices and raising the bar for hardware design excellence.
