Job Description
The Test Engineer is directly responsible for the technical reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of the assigned functional and/or vision test systems within the production area. The role ensures process stability, equipment availability, compliance with Bosch standards, and full ownership of defined KPIs (Relative Utilization – NuRel, False Rejects, Downtime, IDC (Scrap), and On-Time Task Completion). The Test Engineer leads structured problem-solving activities, validates and releases new products and test equipment, and ensures proper documentation, timely risk escalation, and effective knowledge transfer to guarantee operational continuity. The position drives measurable improvements in quality, product reliability, operational efficiency, and cost reduction, always prioritizing customer requirements and Voice of Customer topics.
