About the team

The Startup Partners team sits at the intersection of Stripe's growth ambitions and the startup ecosystem. We work closely with venture capital firms and their portfolio companies across Europe to drive early adoption of Stripe's platform—building the partnerships that shape the next generation of technology businesses. It's a team that moves fast, thinks strategically, and genuinely loves the startup world.

What you'll do

As a Startup Partner focused on Northern Europe, you'll own the strategy to build market awareness and drive broad adoption of Stripe's payments and platform products within startup communities. You'll identify and engage early and late-stage VCs across the region, build deep relationships with their portfolio companies, and work closely with Stripe's Northern Europe sales and marketing teams to establish a long-term channel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the Startup Partners team, helping to shape and execute Stripe's go-to-market strategy for startups in Northern Europe

• Build and execute engagement plans for top venture capital firms, driving consistent engagement with their portfolio companies through consultative, strategic collaboration

• Build strategic relationships with founders and key stakeholders at portfolio companies, serving as a trusted advisor and point of escalation for top startups

• Execute the strategic business development plan in close coordination with internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, legal, and support

• Ensure portfolio companies have the technical resources and knowledge they need to succeed on Stripe's platform

• Mentor startups on technology and business strategy, establishing credibility within the startup and investor community

• Represent Stripe in the startup ecosystem, including speaking at key events and on relevant platforms

• Take a data-driven approach to your work, using Salesforce to measure performance and forecast accurately

Who you are

We're looking for someone with a strong business background who can engage confidently at the CxO and founder level, combined with the technical fluency to articulate the advantages of Stripe's platform. You'll be a strategic thinker with the ability to build compelling partner programmes and drive execution cross-functionally.

Minimum requirements

• 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, programme/product management, or startup/investor roles within the technology industry

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organisations

• Ability to learn quickly, think creatively, and take initiative

• Self-reliant, adaptable, decisive, and professional

• Based in Stockholm, Sweden

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with and knowledge of the Venture Capital, Accelerator, and Incubator community

• Well-networked in the Northern European startup ecosystem with a regular presence at key startup events
