Job Description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Anvil is Anduril's kinetic counter-UAS interceptor. It is a high-speed, autonomous air vehicle that defeats hostile drones, and it works alongside Lattice and the broader Anduril counter-UAS system to protect people and critical infrastructure. As a Product Operations Specialist for Anvil, your mission is to support end users and do whatever it takes to keep deployed counter-UAS capability ready to engage. You will support field failure mitigation and resolution, find the cause of failures, and get lasting Anvil system improvements into the field. You will identify, triage, escalate, and manage the resolution of all incidents across our fleet of deployed interceptors and supporting systems, so you should enjoy hard problems. You will debug failures, resolve issues quickly, and find the root cause of complex issues on high-performance electromechanical systems that have to work the first time. If you're passionate about cutting-edge technology, want to contribute to the national security mission, and like working with professionals from many disciplines while delivering best-in-class product operations support, Anduril is interested in speaking with you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Sustain Anduril's Anvil deployments by combining an understanding of our customers' counter-UAS missions with familiarity with our products and delivered capabilities

• Triage, diagnose, and root cause product incidents, then drive postmortem actions and keep stakeholders updated on status through resolution. Look across individual incidents to improve overall system and product reliability. This includes log reviews and diagnostics, as well as using Linux and command line tools for system management and issue resolution

• Continuously assess and improve the fleet's observability and health telemetry in partnership with hardware, software, flight test, and production teams across the Anvil program

• Collect, organize, and analyze interceptor and system failure data to identify trends, drive proactive sustainment processes, and support resource allocation

• Support Anduril's global customers through proactive communication and detail-oriented execution. You will track and manage customer-facing incidents and concerns, making sure they get a timely response, mitigation, and clear communication of the resolution

• Support the evaluation and improvement of Anvil capabilities by analyzing customer communication and feedback for capability requirements, product performance indicators, and desired functionality

• Stay current on Anvil product specifications and help technical and non-technical stakeholders understand each other

• Communicate and coordinate technical and non-technical efforts across business, engineering, and sustainment functions, influencing decisions and driving action to maximize capability availability for end users

• Travel as required to support customer needs, deployments, and operations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated experience as a self-starter who finds and resolves issues on your own

• Strong problem-solving skills in unstructured situations where hardware, software, and networking meet, and the ability to take challenging, vague technical problems to clarity and resolution

• Proven ability to master a technical system and support it in operational environments, with a strong drive to be self-sufficient across the full depth and breadth of that system

• Excellence and rigor every day: you give the 100th rep of a process the same focus and care as the first five

• Confident navigating ambiguity and creating new ways of doing things

• Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills

• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance. Prior clearances or background investigations are a plus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana and PagerDuty, and exposure to software development tools such as Jira

• Experience with a Unix-like shell such as Bash or Zsh

• Experience with Palantir Foundry to support data-driven decision making

• Experience supporting or performing incident-driven workflows that require analysis, triage, and prioritization

• Experience in on-call support operations and in environments with limited risk tolerance

• Experience with counter-UAS, air defense, or small UAS systems

• DoD, law enforcement, or other government agency experience

• Willingness to work non-standard hours and weekends as needed

• 1+ year of customer or technical support experience, with a focus on final-tier customer support

• Defense or STEM background
