POSITION TITLE: Cycle Counter
BUSINESS UNIT: Springfield, OH
REPORTS TO: System Support Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cycle Counter is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory. Duties also include miscellaneous stores/stockroom activities to maintain inventory accuracy through proper processing of material receipts, transfers, and issues.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for completing physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Investigate and reconcile all variances in counts in a timely manner
• Generate cycle count reports and report numbers to management.
• Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed (performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them).
• Coordinate and Integrate efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy.
• Work with controllers and outside auditors on audits
• Use computers (including handheld units) to process paperwork in SAP and Microsoft Office
• Lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Certified in the use of equipment to assist in the movement of product (overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
