Job Description
This strategic procurement role connects early NPI sourcing readiness, supplier segmentation, and mid/long-term capacity strategy before mass production handover. The role works closely with Product Group, package/test engineering teams, Supply Chain Management, OSAT Strategy buyers, and suppliers to ensure sourcing readiness, supplier capability alignment, and proactive capacity risk management.
1. NPI Sourcing Program Control
• Own Procurement’s NPI readiness tracking before mass production handover.
• Coordinate alignment among Product Group, package/test engineering teams, Supply Chain Management, assigned OSAT buyers, and suppliers.
• Track Technical Definition / RFQ readiness, supplier capability, cost, schedule, capacity, and open risks.
• Prepare clear sourcing assumptions, supplier selection rationale, and risk items before handover to the assigned OSAT buyer.
2. Supplier Segmentation Ownership
• Lead the supplier segmentation framework from Procurement side, with alignment from package and test engineering teams.
• Periodically update segmentation based on supply performance, customer demand, technology requirements, and market situation.
• Use segmentation results to guide RFQ target supplier selection, capacity preparation, and strategic supplier development.
• Maintain clear documentation for preferred suppliers, backup suppliers, and exception cases.
3. Mid/Long-Term Capacity Strategy
• Monitor supply constraints across critical materials, testers/equipment, and bottleneck processes.
• Interface with Product Group business planning and Supply Chain Management to understand future demand outlook and required capacity actions.
• Drive early risk identification and mitigation planning before capacity gaps become urgent.
4. Cross-Functional Leadership and Communication
• Serve as the single Procurement interface for NPI readiness and capacity-related strategic topics.

• Drive cross-functional alignment with Engineering, Product Group, Supply Chain Management, suppliers, and internal Procurement stakeholders.
