(In-Country HR Program Delivery & Service):

(Manager Capability Building & Practice Support):

(Compliance Support in Partnership with ERC & Legal):

HR Specialist, Experience Partner

As an HR Experience Partner, you will be responsible for translating strategic HR challenges identified by the Business and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) into concrete, on-the-ground solutions — drawing on the expertise of Centers of Excellence (COEs) as needed.

While HRBPs define and drive the Strategy, the HREP takes ownership of the Plan and Implementation — ensuring that HR initiatives and programs reach managers and employees in Japan and lead to meaningful action and organizational outcomes, in close collaboration with HRBPs, COEs, and HR Operations.

<Key Responsibilities>:

Country Talent Strategy Execution:

Receive strategic HR priorities from the HRBP and drive their realization on the ground, incorporating COE expertise to deliver effective, locally relevant solutions.

• Develop, execute, and follow up on HR initiatives based on strategic priorities defined by the HRBP
• Continuously assess local conditions and needs, sharing insights and recommendations with the HRBP to sharpen initiative effectiveness
• Draw on COE expertise (e.g., Total Rewards, Talent, D&I;) and incorporate their input into local execution
• Take ownership of project deliverables, managing progress and quality through to completion
In-Country HR Program Delivery & Service:

Ensure that enterprise and COE-designed HR programs reach employees and managers in Japan effectively — focusing on building understanding and enabling real behavioral change in day-to-day practice.

• Drive awareness, rollout, and adoption of key HR programs (e.g., performance management, engagement, compensation & benefits, talent management) in Japan
• Communicate the intent and organizational relevance of each program to managers and employees in a clear and accessible way
• Collect on-the-ground feedback and barriers during rollout, and report findings and improvement suggestions to the HRBP and relevant COEs
• Monitor adoption post-rollout and provide additional support where needed to reinforce sustained behavior change
Manager Capability Building & Practice Support:

Build on the foundation that TD&I; establishes through program design and delivery, ensuring that manager learning translates into actual practice on the ground.

• Encourage manager participation in TD&I-designed; programs and provide ongoing site-level support to reinforce learning after delivery
• Offer practical coaching and advice to managers navigating day-to-day HR challenges (e.g., team management, member development, giving feedback, handling organizational change)
• Walk alongside managers during periods of organizational change or restructuring, helping them understand the situation and take appropriate action
• Document and share patterns and challenges observed through manager interactions as input for TD&I; and the HRBP
Compliance Support in Partnership with ERC & Legal:

Primary responsibility for labor law compliance rests with the ERC team and Legal. The HREP serves as the on-the-ground point of contact in Japan, supporting ERC-led processes and connecting managers and employees to the right resources.

• Receive general inquiries regarding labor laws and internal policies, and route them appropriately to ERC or Legal
• Support communication and awareness activities with ERC when labor laws or internal policies change
• Escalate compliance concerns to ERC promptly and provide support throughout the ERC-led resolution process
• Assist with ERC-led audit and investigation activities by providing relevant information and coordinating locally in Japan
Ad Hoc Projects & HRBP Support:

Respond flexibly to ad hoc HR requests and provide targeted support to the HRBP in executing business-driven HR initiatives.

• Gather, organize, and analyze HR-related information (e.g., organizational data, headcount) as requested by the HRBP, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
• Participate in special or cross-functional projects, taking full ownership of deliverables within the assigned scope
• Actively contribute Japan-based perspectives and on-the-ground insights in cross-functional project settings
• Support the HRBP in preparing proposals, reports, and presentation materials as needed
