Logistics Analyst
Job Description
As a Logistics Analyst within the Global Logistics organization, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end daily logistics, warehouse, and shipping operations, covering inbound and outbound freight activities for Raw Materials, Finished Goods Inventory (FGI), and Non-FG materials. Key warehouse responsibilities include goods receiving, storage, issuance, and scrap management to ensure accurate and efficient materials handling across all storage locations.
The role ensures full compliance with FIZ, LMW, and international customs regulations, covering customs documentation preparation, regulatory reporting, and FIZ/LMW import and export submissions. The individual monitors transactions, manages blanket approvals, and maintains master exemption records to uphold ongoing compliance. This involves working closely with Global Trade Compliance (GTC), customs brokers, government authorities, internal stakeholders, and logistics service providers to implement and maintain compliance requirements, including LMW License and sub-contract renewals, to ensure audit readiness.
The role also drives continuous improvement through best practices, workflow automation, and digitalization. The individual identifies process gaps, collects and analyzes logistics data for dashboard reporting, develops and maintains SOPs and work instructions, delivers training to stakeholders, and participates in global project teams. Support for internal and external audits is required as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Execute FGI and Non-FG shipments in accordance with operational procedures, ensuring on-time delivery to customers (HDD plants), inter-company, external bonded warehouses, and suppliers.
• Manage end-to-end FGI and materials store operations, including goods receiving, palletizing, storage, retrieval, chemical handling, goods issuance to production and users, interplant/bonded transfers, and shipment execution — all carried out per correct operational procedures.
• Oversee internal and external bonded warehouse management, ensuring optimal utilization of warehouse space and resources, effective inventory positioning, and efficient resource allocation to support seamless operational continuity.
• Liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders — including production, planning, procurement, transportation teams, and external hubs/3PL providers to ensure seamless shipment fulfillment and avoid materials supply disruptions to production, including monitoring of urgent inbound shipments.
• Prepare and submit customs documentation, applications, and regulatory reports; coordinate with Trade Compliance teams, customs authorities, government agencies, and logistics providers to ensure compliance with FIZ, LMW, and international customs requirements.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper and real-time system transactions; support cycle counts, goods issuance, scrap management, and process control to uphold inventory integrity across all storage locations.
• Conduct KPI reviews with outsourced service providers; assist in operational cost control encompassing headcount, overtime, procurement, and cost improvement initiatives; compile monthly freight forecasts for Finance and logistics cost reporting.
• Ensure adherence to AEO, SOX, IMS, RBA, and Workplace Safety & Health requirements, including proper chemical handling protocols; provide support during internal and external audits as required.
• Support cross-functional teams with logistics-related inquiries; review, improve, and standardize warehouse processes, SOPs, and workflows; proactively identify process gaps and propose actionable improvements; leverage AI tools and new technologies to simplify work processes and drive operational efficiency; and participate in improvement projects and ad-hoc assignments as directed.
