Job Description

We are looking a profile to be developed as crash test engineer and test supervisor with the aim of being able to carry out both activities. The target is not to work as both roles at the same time; a training plan has been defined in order to finally work as crash test engineer or test supervisor according to the workload of the crash test laboratory teams for the following months.

Crash Test Engineer responsibilities:

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of applicable testing protocols, standards, regulations, and procedures.
• Understand and manage customer requirements and instructions provided through Test Requests.
• Prepare the work instructions (checklists) required for the preparation of vehicles or test samples.
• Monitor test preparation activities, addressing and resolving any issues or questions that may arise.
• Supervise test execution, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and specific customer requirements.
• Manage and oversee all post-crash activities related to the test.
• Review, validate, and document test results, preparing the reports and technical documentation to be delivered to the customer.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, procedures, and methodologies.
• Report directly to the Testing Lead or Project Manager assigned to the project.
Test Supervisor responsibilities:

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of applicable testing protocols, standards, regulations, and procedures.
• Understand and manage the requirements and instructions defined by the Crash Test Engineers through the corresponding checklists.
• Plan and optimize resources and execution schedules to maximize operational capacity and the number of tests performed.
• Lead and coordinate the teams involved in test execution, including positioning, instrumentation, photography, track technicians, and additional support personnel.
• Follow the proper execution of tests, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and specific customer requirements.
• Identify, assess, and manage technical risks, issues, or deviations that may compromise test results.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory quality procedures, safety requirements, and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing testing processes, procedures, and methodologies.
