Job Purpose:To support the planning, implementation, monitoring and coordination of the ECIS programme by effectively managing NGO partners, ensuring programme quality and compliance, facilitating timely reporting and documentation, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for smooth project execution.
Role and Responsibilities:Partner Due Diligence• Coordinate and conduct due diligence of prospective NGO partners, including organisational, programme, financial and statutory compliance assessment.• Review legal and statutory documents such as 12A, 80G, CSR-1, ITR, audit reports and other relevant compliances.• Support field appraisal visits, partner assessment and preparation of appraisal/recommendation notes.• Coordinate with ROs and internal teams for timely completion of due diligence and partner onboarding.• Maintain proper documentation and records of partner due diligence and compliance status.
Financial Transactions• Review project proposals, budgets and financial requirements of partner organizations for alignment with approved project objectives.• Monitor fund disbursement, utilization and financial reporting by project partners.• Verify financial documents, bank transactions, utilization certificates and supporting documentssubmitted by partners.• Track project-wise budget utilization and identify financial deviations or compliance gaps.• Coordinate with Finance and relevant internal teams for timely fund release, reconciliation and closure of financial requirements.
Project Planning & Proposal Development• Support project planning and work closely with the RPD team in developing project proposals, budgets, log frames and implementation plans.• Coordinate with NGO partners and ROs to collect programme inputs and ensure proposals are aligned with ECIS objectives and selection criteria.• Support development and review of MoUs, project deliverables, timelines and partner work plans.• Contribute to identification of project priorities, target beneficiaries and appropriate interventions.• Ensure timely completion of project planning and documentation for approvals.
Assessment & Evaluation• Support the design and implementation of Baseline, Midline and End line Assessments, wherever applicable.• Develop and maintain the project Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E;) framework, indicators and reporting mechanisms.• Monitor project progress against approved objectives, outputs, outcomes and timelines.• Coordinate monitoring visits, partner reviews and periodic assessments to assess programme quality and effectiveness.• Analyze monitoring and assessment findings and support corrective actions and programme improvement.• Document project outcomes, impact, success stories and key learnings.
Project MIS• Ensure accurate, timely and complete updating of beneficiary and project-level MIS by partner organizations.• Verify beneficiary data, enrolment, attendance, retention, mainstreaming and other key programme indicators.• Review the quality, consistency and completeness of data submitted through the approved MIS framework.• Generate and analyze MIS reports for project monitoring, management review and donor reporting.• Identify data gaps or discrepancies and coordinate with ROs/partners for timely correction.• Support periodic MIS consolidation and provide relevant data for internal and donor reporting.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience (Essential):• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in the social development/NGO sector.• Master’s in social work (MSW) or equivalent qualification in Social Development/Development Studies.• A relevant postgraduate qualification with demonstrated experience in the development sector may also be considered.• Experience in programme coordination, NGO partner management, field monitoring and reporting.• Good understanding of project documentation, budgets, financial reporting and compliance requirements.• Strong coordination, communication, follow-up and stakeholder management skills.• Good analytical and report-writing skills with attention to detail.• Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace, particularly Excel and Word.• Willingness to travel for field visits and partner monitoring as required.
Desirable:• Experience of working with CSR-funded or donor-supported education/community development programmes.• Experience in NGO due diligence, appraisal, monitoring and capacity building.• Knowledge of child-focused programmes, education interventions and community-based development initiatives.• Experience in preparing donor/management reports and maintaining programme MIS.
