Internship in Radio-based Sensing for Activity Classification and Feature Extraction
Job Description
Do you believe radar signals hold the key to precisely understanding human activities? Join us and shape the future of sensing technology! You will leverage cutting-edge radar to reveal invisible patterns. This isn't just about developing algorithms, it's about laying the groundwork for smarter, more intuitive systems.
• During your internship, you will conduct measurement campaigns, utilizing a radar sensor setup to capture detailed micro-Doppler signatures of various human activities (e.g., walking, waving), gaining hands-on experience with advanced hardware.
• Moreover, you will be responsible for data acquisition and documentation, focusing on meticulously recording data in complex multi-target scenarios to lay the groundwork for crucial subsequent analysis.
• By diving deep into measurement data, you will apply and develop sophisticated signal processing algorithms to precisely extract and visualize micro-Doppler features.
• You will also critically evaluate and enhance existing state-of-the-art algorithms for feature extraction and activity classification, with a special focus on improving performance in challenging multi-target environments.
• A core task will be to innovate by developing novel and creative approaches to significantly improve the robustness, accuracy, and real-time capabilities of our activity detection systems.
• Finally, you will have the optional opportunity to explore AI/ML integration by investigating and potentially implementing machine learning techniques for robust activity classification, expanding your skills in this rapidly growing field.
