Test Engineer (VS7)
Job Description
New product/ process introduction:
• Equipment and process definition, machine acquisition support, installation and validation on production environment.
• Develop procedures and instructions for processes within his/her responsibility.
• Technicians training, Theoretical and practical.
• Corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance procedures definition.
Production support:
• Tracks KPI’s to identify areas of improvement and monitor upgrades.
• Solves problems related to manufacturing processes.
New Product / Processes:
• Active participation in new project introduction activities: process definition, acquisition, transfer, acceptance and validation processes.
• Assure that Bosch and customer standards for release process and equipment installation are met.
• Fulfill APQP requirements: EWAK runs, Pre-PV’s PV, and SOP.
• Participate with Lead Plant / Development departments on manufacturing process definition and acceptance criteria.
• Assure that general delivery specifications (GDS) for new equipment are met, Technical availability, cycle time, software & hardware design etc.
Production Support:
• Contribute with Value Stream Main KPI’s achievement. Quality -Cost - Delivery
• Create procedures, instructions, reaction plans and training material for machine troubleshooting.
• Responsible to reach technical availability, machine cycle time and defect cost targets for the equipment under his/her responsibility.
• Ensure manufacturing process compliance with customer requirements, Bosch standards and divisional process specifications.
• Lead problem solving and improvement activities related to manufacturing processes under his/her responsibility.
• Manufacturing Periodically meetings participation (DMM /DLR).
Functional area specific activities
• Define, display and update process parameters in compliance with development specifications, divisional directives, general process specification and CoC recommendations. (DMD’s, VVT’s, DI’s…)
• Comply with equipment capability studies, calibration, ESD and mech. stress requirements.
• Define and apply TPM (total productive maintenance) activities, schedule, and training.
• Machine spare parts analysis and control system information upload / actualization.
• Develops / lead continues improvement projects based on the area KPI’s results.
• Technical Downtime, MTTR, MTBF and MOC.
• Development of Quick Change Over standards.
• Define reaction plans, troubleshooting guides, and problem-solving techniques for technicians.
• Set standards and methods for process confirmation.
• Active exchange of lessons learned from other and to other Value Stream and IPN Plants.
• Use the appropriate problem solving techniques to find root cause for problems related to manufacturing processes /equipment.
• Follow up and promote the use of the Quality, Engineering and BPS tools. Use Bosch 14Q principles, A3, CIP, PCR’s, ECR, PFMEA, CP.
• If applicable: OT Planner/OT Technician
