Job Description
• Conduct research and development of advanced refrigerant cycle structure and control strategy for household and mobility application
• Focus is on refrigerant cycle and key components concepts investigation, innovative structure and component concept design, requirement engineering, system modeling and simulation, validation.
• Work closely with corporate research hub in Renningen, Germany on project activities and competence development.
• Work closely with business units to supply cutting-edge simulation solutions and transform them into product development workflows.
Main responsibility includes:
• Lead and participate research topics on advanced and innovative refrigerant cycle towards low GWP refrigerant, including simulation and verification.
• Construct refrigeration system dynamic and steady-state model libraries from scratch, including 1D models for compressor, expansion valve, heat exchanger, and pipes and system identification models.
• Develop system-level dynamic and steady-state models for room air conditioners (RAC) and VRF multi-split systems, covering inverter compressors, electronic expansion valves (EEV), multi-evaporator refrigerant distribution networks, fans, and air-side heat exchangers.
• Build control-oriented reduced-order models (ROM) of RAC/VRF systems and develop control strategies in advanced methods.
• Define experimental schemes and testing protocols for both steady-state and dynamic modeling, providing reliable data for model validation and accuracy improvement
• Apply and extend the above capabilities to the wider HVAC product portfolio — in particular room air conditioners (RAC) and VRF multi-split systems — covering air-side modeling, energy-efficiency simulation, and control-oriented model development.
• Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units successfully.
