This customer-facing engineering role provides hands-on technical support for hydraulic systems and components, manages customer quality and warranty claims, and works closely with customers and internal teams to drive timely resolution of field issues.

The Field Service Engineer will troubleshoot hydraulic system and component concerns at customer locations, coordinate repairs and product returns, support root cause analysis, and ensure customer claims and RMAs are managed accurately and within established response targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support to customers throughout the assigned territory, including troubleshooting, repairs, product inspections, sorting activities, and other field service needs.
• Diagnose hydraulic system and component issues, including leaks, pressure loss, valve malfunctions, and other potential failure modes.
• When feasible and approved by the customer, repair or replace components to restore proper system operation.
• Support customers in resolving product quality, warranty, and technical concerns.
• Serve as a key link between customers and HydraForce internal teams, ensuring clear and timely communication throughout the issue-resolution process.
• Initiate and manage Return Material Authorizations (RMAs), documenting failure modes and relevant technical information to support efficient investigation and resolution.
• Lead or support structured problem-solving and root cause analysis using 8D methodology and other appropriate OEM/customer-required problem-solving tools.
• Understand and communicate customer-specific quality requirements in accordance with applicable supplier quality manuals and standards.
• Support product returns and RGA reporting for customer line rejects, ensuring appropriate root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed to prevent recurrence.
• Utilize customer portals and systems as required to document and manage quality concerns.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Sales, Manufacturing, and other internal teams to develop accurate and timely resolutions to customer issues.
• Identify claim and warranty trends and support efforts to reduce repeat failures and associated claim costs.
• Participate in the development and implementation of design or product improvements related to warranty and field performance concerns.
• Partner with customers and HydraForce Sales to coordinate and support warranty agreements and related activities.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
