Job Description
The Sr Manager, Convening Experiences owns Nielsen's most senior, highest-stakes convening portfolio: the annual flagship client experience, global sports convening including World Cup, Super Bowl and Olympic suites, Cannes Lions convening, executive forums and C-suite dinners.
This role exists to move Nielsen's premium moments from hospitality to executive immersion. The output is not attendance — it is a measurable shift in how the industry's most valuable decision-makers regard Nielsen, and a direct contribution to retention across named strategic accounts.
Working closely with Global Client & Sales Leadership, Customer Lifecycle Marketing, Content & Strategic Insights, Brand and Creative, this leader designs and delivers experiences where senior clients engage with Nielsen's media intelligence and leadership in an environment built entirely for that purpose.
Responsibilities:
• Flagship Experience Ownership: Own the end-to-end design and delivery of Nielsen's annual flagship convening experience, from concept and business case through guest journey, strategy, programming, production and post-event verdict. Hold accountability for the standard, the budget and the outcome.
• Premium Sports & Cultural Convening: Lead Nielsen's premium convening at global sports moments, including World Cup, Super Bowl and Olympic programs, and Cannes Lions convening. Define the guest experience model, hospitality standard and content moments that differentiate Nielsen from a suite with a logo on it.
• Executive Forums & C-Suite Engagement: Build and run a recurring program of executive forums, roundtables and C-suite dinners that create senior dialogue between Nielsen leadership and client leadership. Own format design, topic selection with Content & Strategic Insights, and executive host preparation.
• Guest Strategy & Account Alignment: Partner with Global Client & Sales Leadership and Customer Lifecycle Marketing to build guest strategy against named strategic accounts and retention priorities. Own invitation architecture, tiering, RSVP conversion and the post-event follow-through motion into client planning conversations.
• Experience Design & Programming: Translate Nielsen's brand and media intelligence narrative into environment, format, content and moment premium design. Ensure every program has a point of view and value, not just a venue and a run of show.
• Production & Agency Leadership: Lead agencies and production partners against Nielsen's premium standard. Own workback plans, production workbooks, safety, security, legal and compliance requirements across the premium portfolio.
• Measurement & Reporting: Own measurement for the premium portfolio, including event NPS, strategic-partner versus vendor perception among senior attendees, retention impact on named accounts, and executive meetings generated. Report results and recommendations to marketing and commercial leadership.
• Budget Ownership: Manage the premium convening budget, ensuring each program carries a business case and delivers a defensible return on investment.
