Job Description
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Senior Performance Marketing Specialist to own and scale paid acquisition across established and emerging channels, with a strong focus on qualified pipeline, acquisition efficiency, and revenue impact.
This role goes beyond managing ad campaigns. We want someone who combines strong performance marketing fundamentals with an AI-first mindset—someone who actively uses AI tools, builds automated workflows, and continuously finds ways to make marketing faster, smarter, and more effective.
You'll own campaign strategy and execution across paid search, paid social, and emerging AI-native advertising platforms. You'll also identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, improve campaign intelligence, and build scalable workflows that enable the marketing team to operate more efficiently.
This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys experimentation, takes ownership of outcomes, and is comfortable building processes from the ground up.
What You'll Own
1. Paid Search — 25%
• Own the end-to-end strategy, execution, and optimization of Google and Bing Ads campaigns targeting legal, legal ops, and procurement buyers.
• Manage account structure, keyword research, bidding strategies, search-term optimization, audience targeting, and budget allocation.
• Drive high-intent traffic and qualified demo requests while continuously improving cost per qualified opportunity and pipeline efficiency.
• Identify opportunities across competitor, category, and high-intent search campaigns to capture demand and improve market coverage.
2. Paid Social — 20%
• Build, manage, and scale paid social campaigns, primarily across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
• Develop targeting strategies for niche B2B buyer personas and create full-funnel campaign architectures across awareness, consideration, and conversion.
• Partner with Content and Product Marketing to test messaging, creatives, and offers that resonate with our target audiences.
• Optimize campaigns based on conversion quality, qualified pipeline, and revenue contribution—not just engagement or lead volume.
3. AI-Native Advertising and Emerging Channels — 10%
• Experiment with ChatGPT ads and other emerging AI-native advertising opportunities as they become available and relevant.
• Design structured tests with clear hypotheses, success metrics, and defined evaluation periods.
• Evaluate channel effectiveness, audience quality, and potential incremental pipeline to determine where further investment makes sense.
• Stay ahead of developments in AI-driven discovery and advertising, translating relevant opportunities into actionable experiments.
4. Budget Allocation and Media Planning — 10%
• Own budget planning, allocation, pacing, and performance monitoring across paid channels.
• Reallocate spend based on channel performance, pipeline contribution, acquisition costs, and business priorities.
• Identify opportunities to scale efficiently and proactively reduce investment in underperforming campaigns.
• Maintain clear visibility into spend, efficiency, and performance against acquisition targets.
5. AI, Automation, and Workflow Optimization — 20%
• Identify repetitive, manual, and time-consuming marketing processes that can be improved through AI and automation.
• Build AI-assisted workflows and automated systems for campaign reporting, performance monitoring, keyword research, ad copy testing, data analysis, and campaign optimization.
• Experiment with AI agents, LLMs, APIs, and no-code or low-code automation tools to improve execution speed and decision-making.
• Automate recurring reports, anomaly detection, performance alerts, and other operational workflows wherever practical.
• Use AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to accelerate research, generate insights, support experimentation, and improve day-to-day execution.
• Continuously evaluate new tools and approaches, moving beyond one-off AI usage to repeatable, measurable workflows that reduce manual effort and improve marketing productivity.
6. Experimentation and Campaign Optimization — 10%
• Develop a structured experimentation roadmap across keywords, bidding strategies, ad copy, creatives, audiences, and landing pages.
• Establish clear hypotheses, success metrics, and evaluation criteria for every major experiment.
• Analyze results, document learnings, and translate successful experiments into repeatable playbooks.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve conversion rates, campaign efficiency, and pipeline quality.
7. Measurement, Reporting, and Cross-Functional Collaboration — 5%
• Maintain reliable conversion tracking, attribution, and campaign measurement in collaboration with Marketing Operations.
• Build clear reporting on spend, conversions, qualified opportunities, pipeline, and ROI.
• Work closely with Content, Product Marketing, Sales, and Marketing Operations to improve campaign messaging, lead quality, and funnel performance.
• Use data and insights to communicate performance, surface risks, and recommend actionable next steps.
What We're Looking For
• 3–5 years of hands-on performance marketing experience, preferably in B2B SaaS or another complex B2B environment.
• Strong paid search expertise: Proven experience managing Google and Bing Ads, including campaign architecture, keyword strategy, bidding, and conversion tracking.
• Paid social experience: Demonstrated ability to run and optimize LinkedIn Ads and other relevant paid social campaigns targeting specific B2B audiences.
• Commercial and analytical thinking: Ability to connect campaign performance to qualified pipeline, acquisition costs, and revenue, and make informed budget decisions.
• AI-first mindset: Practical experience using tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to improve research, analysis, content generation, and campaign execution.
• Automation orientation: A demonstrated interest in building automated workflows and reducing manual work. Experience with AI agents, APIs, or no-code/low-code automation tools is a plus.
• Experimentation mindset: Comfortable testing new approaches, learning from unsuccessful experiments, and scaling what works.
• Strong analytical skills: Comfortable working with spreadsheets, advertising dashboards, attribution data, and performance reports to derive actionable insights.
• Ownership and execution: Able to independently take initiatives from idea to implementation, prioritize effectively, and deliver measurable outcomes in a fast-moving environment.
• Adaptability: Comfortable operating with ambiguity, building processes from scratch, and continuously evolving how marketing work gets done.
Good to Have
• Experience with AI-native advertising platforms or emerging paid acquisition channels.
• Familiarity with marketing automation, workflow orchestration, APIs, and data integrations.
• Experience with tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar automation platforms.
• Familiarity with HubSpot or other marketing automation and CRM platforms.
• Experience in enterprise SaaS, legal technology, or marketing to specialized B2B audiences.
What Success Looks Like
• Paid campaigns generate a consistent flow of qualified opportunities and pipeline at sustainable acquisition costs.
• Budgets are allocated dynamically based on performance and business impact.
• Campaign measurement and attribution provide reliable visibility into marketing's contribution to pipeline and revenue.
• Emerging channels are evaluated through disciplined experiments, with investment guided by evidence.
• AI and automation reduce repetitive work, accelerate analysis, and improve the speed and quality of campaign execution.
• The performance marketing function becomes more scalable, systematic, and data-driven over time.
