Job Description
Are you an experienced accounting professional with strong knowledge of Hungarian accounting regulations? Would you like to take ownership of accounting activities while working in a stable, international environment?
We are looking for a Senior GL Accountant to support the accounting operations of a Hungarian legal entity. In this role, you will be responsible for statutory accounting activities, financial reporting and the preparation of annual financial statements, while collaborating with local and international finance teams.
Your responsibilities
• Manage general ledger accounting activities in compliance with Hungarian accounting standards and internal company policies.
• Independently prepare annual statutory financial statements in accordance with Hungarian accounting regulations.
• Perform and coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Support tax-related accounting activities and ensure compliance with relevant local requirements.
• Cooperate with internal and external auditors, providing accurate financial documentation and supporting audit processes.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, identify discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with local and international finance teams on accounting matters and reporting requirements.
• Participate in accounting process improvements, SAP-related activities and finance projects.
