Job Description
The Contract Negotiations Expert is responsible for leading payer contract analysis, reimbursement strategy, and negotiations on behalf of healthcare organizations. This role combines financial analysis, payer strategy, contract expertise, and relationship management to identify and secure opportunities for improved reimbursement and favorable contractual terms.The Contract Negotiations Expert evaluates payer contracts, fee schedules, utilization, reimbursement performance, and market benchmarks to develop data-driven negotiation strategies. Rather than relying solely on broad percentage increases, the role analyzes reimbursement at the CPT-code level to identify high-volume and high-impact opportunities and quantify the financial value of proposed rate changes.The position also develops payer-specific business cases incorporating factors such as network adequacy, patient access, community impact, organizational growth, service expansion, and other strategic considerations. This approach aligns directly with the contract negotiation methodology documented internally.
