Job Description

About the Team
ValMo is Meesho's logistics and supply chain organization, responsible for building India's most cost-efficient, reliable, and scalable fulfillment network. From first-mile pickup to last-mile delivery and reverse logistics, ValMo powers millions of shipments every month for small businesses across the country.
As we scale, the complexity of our network increases exponentially. ValMo operates at the intersection of technology, operations, and partner ecosystems — where execution precision and systems thinking are critical to prevent cascading (domino) failures across the network.
About the Role
The Control Tower is where the stability, reliability, and cost-efficiency of ValMo's pan-India network is owned end-to-end. This is a deliberately generalist role in Fulfilment & Experience - your mandate is defined by an outcome, not a fixed function.
Put simply: you are the person we point at the highest-leverage problem threatening the network, and you figure it out from first principles.
The specific problem changes with what the network needs. In one quarter you might be redesigning the topology of a region; in the next, rebuilding the capacity-planning engine, running a structural cost-out program, firefighting an RTO or CX spike, or standing up readiness for a peak event - including problems that don't yet have an owner. What stays constant is the accountability: keep the network stable, predictable, and cost-efficient no matter what breaks or scales.

What you will do
1. Own network stability (the constant)

This is the through-line of the role regardless of what else you pick up:

Set up and govern the automated dashboards, early-warning frameworks, and control-tower rituals tracking end-to-end SLAs, TAT, RTO, and cost health across first-mile, middle-mile, and last-mile.

Detect real-time and structural exceptions across the linehaul and sorting ecosystem, and trigger rapid-response protocols before they hit the customer.

Lead structural RCAs on daily/weekly deviations, and drive permanent corrective and preventive fixes with ground ops - not one-off patches.

2. Take on whatever moves the needle (the variable)

The problems below are illustrative of what may land on your plate - the list is not exhaustive, and priority shifts with the network:

Network Design: Design and continuously optimize the end-to-end layout (sorting hubs, micro-nodes, linehaul lanes, last-mile catchments).

Capacity & Demand Planning: Build predictive volume models and capacity plans that hold up in BAU and scale seamlessly through peak festival events.

Risk & Redundancy: Build contingency frameworks and fail-safes that stop regional shocks from cascading into network-wide failures.

Cost & Efficiency: Drive structural cost reduction through route optimization, load utilization, and node efficiency, in partnership with Product and Data.

New mandates: Take ownership of emerging, high-stakes problems across Fulfilment & Experience that don't yet have a clear owner.

3.  Standardize what works

Partner with central teams to design and enforce scalable SOPs and operating guidelines across an asset-light partner ecosystem - so fixes become the default, not tribal knowledge.

4. Orchestrate across the network

• Act as the bridge between central Strategy, Product, Tech, Regional Ground Ops, and external 3PL/micro-entrepreneur partners - aligning network capability with growth targets and translating ambiguity into execution.

What you will need (eligibility criteria)

Bachelor's degree or MBA from a premier institution.

5-8 years across generalist strategy, Supply Chain Planning, Network Design, or Core Operations  in Management Consulting, E-commerce, Hyperlocal, Express Logistics, or FMCG.

Range over specialization: a track record of context-switching across problem types and being deployable on ambiguous, high-stakes problems without a defined playbook.

Strong first-principles problem-solving. Excel/Google Sheets is mandatory; SQL, Python, or BI tools (Tableau/PowerBI) highly preferred.

Ability to reason about interdependencies across multi-tiered nodes (first vs. middle vs. last mile) and anticipate second-order, cascading effects.

High-ownership operator who thrives in ambiguity, moves at high-growth pace, and handles high-stakes cross-functional communication cleanly.
