About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies and deep customer understanding to some of the world’s biggest financial problems. We are looking for bold thinkers, problem solvers, and builders who are motivated to make an impact. Robinhood is a high performing, fast moving environment with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

Research has been central to our product development and business strategy since the very beginning. As our user base and products continue to grow, the Brokerage Research team helps Robinhood systematically understand how people invest, trade, manage their accounts, and think and feel about money.

As a Staff User Researcher, you will lead research across multiple Brokerage product areas. You will partner with product and business leaders to identify the questions that matter most, bring clarity to ambiguous problems, and ensure customer evidence informs both near term decisions and longer term strategy. You should be comfortable and willing to incorporate AI into your research practice, while applying sound judgment to maintain research quality, customer trust, and appropriate governance.

This role is based in our Bellevue, WA, Menlo Park, CA, or New York, NY office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

• Representing the voice of the customer throughout the product development process, working closely with PMs, designers, engineers, Data Science, and leadership

• Translating research into clear recommendations that influence product strategy, prioritization, and execution

• Communicating insights through compelling and memorable storytelling for research and non research audiences

• Connecting findings across Brokerage to build a broader, data driven understanding of current and potential customers

• Using AI enabled tools to increase the speed, reach, and impact of research

• Mentoring others and contributing to the development of research standards, methods, and practices

What you bring

• Strong command of qualitative and quantitative methods, with the judgment to select the right approach for the question

• A record of applying research to create meaningful product and business impact

• Ability to independently bring structure to complex and ambiguous problems

• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and cross functional teams

• Strong storytelling, organization, synthesis, and communication skills

• Comfort and willingness to use AI enabled tools and adapt as research workflows evolve

• Passion for investing and making finance accessible to all

• Strong work ethic and deep care for the research craft

• Bonus points
