About the Role:
Planet is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to help scale our Constellation Services business. This portfolio serves government, defense and intelligence, and enterprise customers who need more than commercial tasking, scaling from dedicated capacity on satellites that Planet operates, up to sovereign, customer-owned constellations.
We're looking for someone who makes collaboration happen. On a day-to-day basis, you'll work constantly across Product, Space, Business Development, Revenue Marketing, and Enablement, bringing teams and threads together to build our go-to-market. It suits someone who builds relationships easily, works comfortably without a lot of direction, and brings a clear but flexible point of view.
This is a full-time, hybrid role which will require you to work from our San Francisco office 3 days per week.
Impact You'll Own:
• Own the product marketing strategy across the product lifecycle, and work across Marketing, Sales, and Enablement to bring new products into the market.
• Develop the value proposition, messaging frameworks, and ICPs to align our GTM teams and articulate value in language that our customers see themselves in
• Continuously assess and improve positioning, campaigns, content, and sales effectiveness through deep collaboration with GTM teams and Marketing
• Work hand-in-hand with Product to bring customer, competitive, and market insight to shape the roadmap and sharpen how we compete.
• Build deep knowledge of our Constellation Services portfolio, including how customers task and plan collections, the ground and delivery infrastructure, training and support programs, and the roadmap in order to clearly communicate value
• Maintain a library of product assets – pitch decks, battlecards, customer vignettes, graphics, and narrative-driven collateral – that are current, compelling, and highly usable for customer-facing teams.
• Provide support for our largest opportunities and regions, supporting pursuit teams and Marketing on ABM, brand work, and targeted tactics to achieve our business goals.
What You Bring:
• Typically 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• You sit close to product teams and bring the voice of the customer to every conversation, building customer empathy across the organization.
• You have a track record of engaging hard-to-reach buyers with modern storytelling — video, customer-led narrative, formats built for how people actually consume
• You judge your work by what your partners can do with it — enabling sellers, regional teams, and account teams to run on their own with modular messaging, assets they can adapt, and materials that hold up after the launch.
• You use AI to move faster but still ship work with a strong and differentiated voice.
What Makes You Stand Out:
• Experience marketing technical services or infrastructure
• Familiarity with B2G or government programs.
• Work you can walk us through that demonstrates your storytelling through content you’ve shipped
