Experience: Minimum 4–5 years of specialized experience in cardiovascular coding.Technical Proficiency Requirements
The ideal candidate must demonstrate expert-level knowledge in the following areas and their corresponding CPT codes:• Embolizations: Proficiency in coding procedures such as 37241, 37242, 37243, 37252, 37253, 36012, 36247, and 36248.
• Sclerotherapy & Ultrasound: Competency in coding 36470, 36471, and 76942.
• Varithena Procedures: Knowledge of 36465 and 36466.
• Radiofrequency Procedures: Ability to code 36475 and 36476.
• Duplex Scans: Experience with 93970 and 93971.
• Cosmetic Sclerotherapy: Competency in 36468.
• Arterial Doppler Studies: Familiarity with 93925 and 93926.
• TBI and ABI: Understanding of 93922.
