Job Overview
We're seeking an experienced Senior Backend and Database Developer and Team Lead for our backend team. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in full-stack development with deep backend specialization, strong process optimization skills, and innovative thinking to drive team efficiency and product quality.
Job Specifications
Educational Qualifications:• UG/PG in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field (Any graduate may apply)
Professional Experience:• 4+ years of backend development experience
• 3+ years of team leadership experience
• 2+ years of experience in Scrum/Agile management
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Software Architecture Design• Architect and oversee development of backend in Node.js
• Strong grasp of MVC patterns, design patterns, and data structures
• Understanding of basic database theory (ACID vs eventually consistent, OLTP vs OLAP)
• Familiar with different types of databases: relational, key-value stores, text stores, graph DBs, vector DBs, and time-series DBs
2. Database Design & Structures• Expertise in data modeling, including normalization, star schema, and dimensional modeling
• Proficient with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis)
• Design and maintenance of data pipelines, handling failures, restarts, and various file formats
3. Backend & API Frameworks• Develop and maintain RESTful and JSON RPC APIs
• Hands-on with Express.js, NestJS, Swagger, Postman
• Experience with Webhooks, event-driven systems, and third-party integrations (e.g., Firebase, Google Maps, Amplify)
4. QA & Testing• Knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Artillery)
• Familiarity with QA processes, testing routines, and issue tracking
5. Load Balancing, Caching & Serving• Experience with Kafka, Apache Spark, Redux, and Kubernetes for event processing and scaling
• Skilled in using Airflow for orchestrating large data workloads
• Scripting and automation for scheduling, logging, and system efficiency
6. Production, Deployment & Monitoring• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, CircleCI
• Familiar with Docker, containerization, and deployment on AWS, Azure, or bare-metal servers
7. Documentation, Version Control & Ticketing• Proficient in Git for version control
• Experienced with Jira, Confluence for project management
• Create and maintain ERDs and technical documentation using Swagger, Postman
