As a direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand, we are on a mission to make the world a better place, one home at a time. Role OverviewWe're looking for a Junior Video Editor to join our D2C team. This person will primarily edit short-form videos for our team, while also contributing long-form edits on a case-by-case basis.
Key ResponsibilitiesLong-Form EditingEdit long-form YouTube content with a strong narrative structure, engaging pacing, and a focus on viewer retention.Short-Form EditingEdit and create YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other short-form content by repurposing long-form footage or producing fresh edits optimized for short attention spans.Content VersatilityEdit a variety of content formats, including comedy, UGC, interviews, product demos, and lifestyle content.Technical CraftApply basic animation, sound design, audio mixing, and color correction to enhance the overall quality of videos.Storytelling & TimingDemonstrate strong storytelling skills, comedic timing, and visual pacing to create engaging content.Fast-Paced ExecutionManage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting quick turnaround times and incorporating feedback efficiently.Qualifications• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Hands-on experience editing comedy content, UGC, interviews, product demos, and lifestyle content.
• Basic knowledge of sound design, audio mixing, and color correction.
• Basic animation skills using Adobe After Effects or similar tools.
• Basic knowledge of Cinematography, should be able to handle cameras(DSLR) and lighting in shoots.
Bonus Skills• Experience using AI tools for generating visuals and animations.
• Experience in leading content shoots.
• Familiarity with current social media trends, meme culture, and viral content formats, with the ability to create engaging hooks, fast-paced edits, and graphics.
Portfolio RequirementCandidates must share a portfolio of edited videos for review, including YouTube long-form content, YouTube Shorts, and Reels.Location: Mumbai - Dadar
