Job Title: Project Business Manager (Solar Projects)Location: Corporate Office (Travel to Project Sites Regularly)Industry: Solar EPCRole Overview:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project business Manager to lead end-to-end execution of utility-scale solar EPC projects. This role requires a 360-degree ownership approach covering planning, execution, commercial management, revenue booking, billing, cash flow monitoring, resource planning, and cross-functional coordination to ensure successful and timely project delivery.The candidate will act as a central pivot between all departments and provide strategic direction to ensure project profitability, compliance, and execution excellence.
Key Responsibilities🔹 Project Execution & Delivery• • Oversee complete lifecycle of solar EPC projects from mobilization to commissioning.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Drive site execution strategies to achieve milestone-based completion.
🔹 Planning & Monitoring• • Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress through dashboards, DPRs, and MIS reports.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
🔹 Commercial & Financial Management• • Monitor project cash flow and working capital requirements.
• Ensure timely client billing, certification, and revenue booking.
• Track cost control measures to maintain project margins.
• Coordinate with Finance for invoicing, collections, and financial reporting.
🔹 Cross-Functional Coordination• • Collaborate closely with:
• Engineering & Design
• SCM & Procurement
• Contracts & Commercial
• Finance & Accounts
• HR & Hiring
• QA/QC & Safety
• Ensure seamless communication and alignment among departments.
🔹 SCM & Vendor Management• • Coordinate with SCM for timely procurement of materials and services.
• Monitor vendor performance and delivery schedules.
• Resolve supply chain bottlenecks impacting project timelines.
🔹 Resource & Hiring Management• • Assess manpower requirements and coordinate hiring for project needs.
• Ensure optimum deployment of site and corporate resources.
🔹 Reporting & Management Communication• • Present weekly/monthly project performance reports to senior management.
• Provide insights on revenue forecasts, cost projections, and risk assessment.
• Escalate critical issues with recommended solutions.
Required Qualifications• • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering.
• MBA (Project Management / Finance) preferred.
• 12–18+ years of experience in Solar EPC project execution.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Utility-scale solar projects
• EPC contracts
• Billing & revenue recognition
• Project cash flow management
• SCM & vendor coordination

• Advanced project planning knowledge (Primavera/MS Project)
• Financial understanding of project P&L;
