Job Description
Job Description:As an Asset Manager in the Electrical Operations & Maintenance (O&M;) Department, he will be responsible for managing and optimizing the performance of electrical assets, particularly within solar PV systems. hw will play a key role in overseeing the O&M; processes, ensuring the proper functioning of solar systems (DC part), power systems, and transmission lines. Additionally, hw will handle solar project HOTO (Handover/Takeover), perform audits, and maintain Solar O&M; checklists. Key Responsibilities:• Solar PV System Management:
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of the DC side of solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and corrective actions for solar PV assets.
• Power Systems and Transmission Line:
• Maintain a basic understanding of transmission lines and power system components for proper integration with solar PV systems.
• Coordinate with teams for transmission line maintenance and addressing issues that may impact solar energy distribution.
• Solar Project HOTO (Handover/Takeover):
• Facilitate the smooth transition of solar projects from construction to operation.
• Ensure all documentation and testing procedures are complete and in compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
• Auditing and Compliance:
• Conduct regular audits of existing solar plant, including PV installations, to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Prepare detailed reports of findings and suggest improvements based on audit results.
• O&M; Checklist Management:
• Develop and maintain comprehensive O&M; checklists for solar PV systems.
• Ensure that preventive maintenance activities are carried out as per the checklist to prevent asset failure and prolong system life.
• Asset Monitoring and Performance Analysis:
• Monitor the performance of electrical assets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and initiate corrective measures when necessary.
• Analyse data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and potential improvements in asset management.
• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
• Ensure all O&M; activities comply with HSE standards and safety regulations.
• Train and supervise maintenance staff to adhere to best practices in electrical safety and risk management.
Skills and Competencies:• Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems (DC side), power systems, and transmission lines.
• Experience with Solar O&M; processes, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Familiarity with electrical audits, HOTO procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in using asset management and monitoring software tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental coordination.
