Job Title: Backend Developer (Node.js)

Role Overview:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Backend Developer (Node.js) to join our engineering team at SolarSquare. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the backend systems that power our customer-facing applications and internal platforms. You will work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performing solutions in the clean energy domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Node.jsBuild and manage well-documented and scalable RESTful APIsIntegrate with both internal and third-party servicesCollaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth end-to-end system integrationOptimize application performance and troubleshoot issuesFollow best practices in code quality, testing, and documentationImplement core services like caching, logging, and monitoringParticipate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planningDeploy and manage services using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)Work in an agile environment and contribute proactively to team goals

Required Skills & Experience:
3+ years of backend development experience, primarily using Node.jsStrong knowledge of JavaScript, SQL/NoSQL databases, and asynchronous programmingExperience with REST API design, event-driven architecture, and microservicesHands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD)Comfortable using Git and version control toolsExcellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
