Sound Engineer / Recordist Intern

The RoleYou own the sound of every session, end to end: you record the artist's live set on shoot day, then mix and master that recording into a clear, release-ready track that carries the energy of the live performance. One person, full chain — capture through final master.
ResponsibilitiesRecording (shoot day)• Set up, position, and gain-stage all microphones and DIs for the full band — vocals, drum kit, acoustic and electric guitar, piano.
• Run the mixing console and recorder; capture clean multitrack audio of the entire live set.
• Monitor live throughout the performance — catch clipping, bleed, phase issues, and noise in the moment, not in post.
• Record safety takes so no take is ever lost; hand over labelled, organised multitrack files at wrap.
Mix• Mix each song from the multitracks: balance, EQ, compression, spatial placement, and cleanup.
• Preserve the live feel — clear, intimate, and dynamic, not a sterile studio production.
Master• Master the approved mixes to release standards for YouTube, Instagram, and streaming platforms.
• Deliver final WAV masters plus platform-ready versions, sync-ready for the video edit.

Equipment & Software (all provided by us)Zoom H6 recorder · Behringer X32 console · Sennheiser MKH 418S, e902, MK4 · Neumann MCM 114· Shure SM57 · Lewitt LCT 140 Air · Behringer Ultra-DI · Ableton Live.You bring nothing but your ears and expertise — but you must know this equipment and software cold and be able to run it without a learning curve.

What We're Looking For• Complete command of the recording chain and software listed above.
• Proven experience recording live multi-instrument performances, not just overdubbed studio work.
• Strong mixing and mastering skills with a portfolio of finished work we can hear.
• Fast, decisive problem-solving on set — a live take can't be redone.
• Reliability on deadlines: files at wrap, mixes on the agreed date.
