Job Description
Operator 2 supports machine operations in the Cleaning and Lube area with responsibilities including basic troubleshooting, inventory management, and quality assurance. This role builds on foundational skills, allowing for more independent execution of tasks while assisting senior technicians and engineers in process improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production & Machine Operations:
• Operate Cleaning/ Lube machines with minimal supervision.
• Ensure correct CIM system setup and verify product flow and codes before start production.
• Perform CIM scanning and handle lot transactions correctly in MESA.
• Conduct loading and unloading following proper orientation and procedures.
• Maintain WIP segregation when quality issues arise.
• Plan and ensure sufficient material supply for downstream operations.
Process & Quality Assurance:
• Perform sampling and sanity checks to ensure product integrity.
• Handle basic chemical processes (dump bath, distillation, bath changes).
• Ensure compliance with IMS/RBA standards.
• Verify the completion of all required Lube checklists.
• Maintain inventory control and apply LIFO/FIFO principles to prevent over-WIP.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
• Perform Level 1 troubleshooting, such as clearing machine errors and verifying CIM scanner positions.
• Assist Equipment Technicians with basic machine bring-up and issue resolution.
• Support MESA transactions, including yield tracking and WIP maintenance.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Act as a buddy trainer for new Technicians and Manufacturing Operators.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and cross-functional assignments.
• Maintain 7S housekeeping and adhere to all workplace safety regulations.
