Job Description
The Sr EMC Engineer is responsible for managing electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) activities throughout the product development lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
• Serve as primary EMC contact for OEM technical communications and requirements management
• Analyze and interpret legal and OEM EMC specification documents to ensure compliance
• Develop and maintain EMC Compliance Matrices that document all requirements and obtain customer agreement
• Create EMC test specifications for Design Validation (DV) and Product Validation (PV) phases in accordance with applicable legal and OEM requirements
• Plan and coordinate EMC Design Validation (DV) test campaigns with internal teams
• Plan and coordinate EMC Product Validation (PV) test campaigns with certified and OEM-recognized test laboratories
• Review and evaluate EMC test reports for accuracy and compliance
• Communicate EMC test results and findings to customers and stakeholders
• Conduct root cause analysis for EMC deviations and recommend corrective actions
• Communicate EMC deviations and improvement measures to ECU development and integration teams
• Provide technical guidance on EMC-compatible electrical hardware system design
• Implement and verify effectiveness of EMC improvement measures
• Support the development of EMC-compliant circuit design, layout, and electromechanical product design
