Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to help scale accounting activities in support of growth. The successful candidate will play a key role within the GL and International Accounting teams in contributing to the monthly close by preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and performing key controls within the financial reporting process.
What You’ll Do:
· Play a key role in the month-end close process by owning assigned areas of the close in support of journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
· Assist with fluctuation analysis and other analyses to enhance controls over financial reporting process.
· Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, documenting processes and ensuring consistent, repeatable execution across the close cycle — with an eye toward building controls that scale as the organization grows
· Partner with other teams within the Finance function such as: FP&A;, AP, Payroll, International accounting and Tax teams to ensure accurate and timely close.
· Assist with external and statutory audit requests.
· Support ad hoc projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and integration of acquired entities.
· Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency, accuracy, and scalability as the company grows
What You’ll Need:
· A bachelor’s degree in accounting and minimum of four (4) years’ accounting experience in a combined corporate environment and large public accounting firm
· At least one year of experience within a corporate accounting team working on month-end close with demonstrated experience owning full-cycle close processes
· CPA or CPA candidate
· Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of US GAAP
· Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups)
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
· Ability to dig in and take ownership of responsibilities and meet critical deadlines in a past-paced environment
· Experience with NetSuite (or a similar large ERP) as well as close management software (FloQast, Blackline or similar)
· Experience in the Technology/SaaS industry is a plus
