Role : Principal Scientist - Synthetic Chemistry (Agrochemicals, Pharma API & Aroma Chemicals)
Role Overview
Scimplify is looking for a seasoned R&D; leader to head the Synthetic chemistry function. The role will drive process development, scale-up and innovation across Agrochemicals, Pharma APIs and Aroma Chemicals.
Key Responsibilities• Lead process R&D; and synthetic route development for specialty and fine chemicals.
• Design and optimize cost-efficient, scalable chemical processes.
• Drive technology transfer from lab to pilot and commercial scale.
• Lead innovation in Agrochemical intermediates, APIs, and aroma molecules.
• Collaborate with global clients and internal commercial teams to develop custom molecules.
• Build and mentor a high-performing R&D; team.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams for process scale-up and commercialization
Qualifications
• PhD / M.Tech / MSc in Organic Chemistry or Synthetic Chemistry.
• Global/MNC experience in Process R&D; is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience leading R&D; teams.
• Strong experience in route scouting, impurity profiling, and scale-up chemistry.
