Marketing Director
Job Description
Experian India helps lenders, fintechs and enterprises make better decisions through data, analytics, decisioning, fraud and identity solutions, and helps millions of Indians understand and improve their credit health.
The Marketing Director is a high-profile and influential role, important to our next phase of growth in India. You will lead the end-to-end marketing agenda: building the brand, taking products to market, driving pipeline and consumer growth, and shaping how the industry sees us.
This is not a conventional communications role. It is a commercially accountable, full-funnel leadership role for a hands-on leader who combines strategic clarity with thoughtful prioritisation
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
• Shape a trusted brand in one of the world's fastest-growing credit and digital-finance markets.
• Lead B2B and consumer marketing under one remit, a breadth of scope few marketing roles offer.
• Make a direct, visible impact on business performance, working closely with the Managing Director and business leaders.
• Turn complex data, credit and analytics topics into stories that matter to businesses, regulators and consumers.
• Build and lead your own marketing function, with real ownership and room to grow as a marketing leader.
WORK THAT MATTERS – WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Marketing strategy and leadership
• Define and lead the annual and multi-year marketing strategy, aligned to business priorities.
• Translate business objectives into one integrated plan across B2B, consumer, digital, communications and events, with clear priorities, investment choices and KPIs.
Brand, market positioning and partnerships
• Position the brand as the clear market leader in its sector across corporate, B2B and consumer audiences, through owned, earned and paid channels.
• Build recognition beyond the traditional credit bureau identity, as a data, analytics and technology partner.
• Build brand and customer experiences with ecosystem partners, extending the brand through co-marketing and strategic collaborations.
Brand marketing, product marketing and go-to-market
• Develop brand value propositions, messaging and positioning across credit, analytics, decisioning, fraud and identity product lines.
• Deliver integrated go-to-market campaigns for new products, with Product and Sales teams.
• Work closely with Sales to build a scalable, end-to-end lead-generation process, account-based and vertical campaigns, and nurture programmes that drive pipeline and customer advocacy.
• Create client-facing content and sales enablement, including brochures, case studies, reference programmes and sales training.
Digital marketing and growth
• Lead a digital-first marketing strategy covering websites, social media, online campaigns and digital communications such as newsletters and blogs.
• Increase traffic, usability, lead capture and engagement, using CRM and marketing-automation tools to measure and optimise performance.
PR, communications and reputation
• Define the PR strategy and lead media relations, executive visibility and leadership positioning across business, financial, technology and mainstream media.
• Own issues and crisis communications, protecting trust and reputation in a highly regulated, data-intensive environment.
• Partner on internal communications so colleagues feel informed and connected to the strategy.
Thought leadership, industry engagement and events
• Build data-led thought-leadership platforms, such as reports, whitepapers and market insights, that turn proprietary data into credible industry narratives.
• Strengthen relationships with industry bodies, associations, regulators and financial institutions across the credit and financial-services ecosystem.
• Own the event and conference calendar and end-to-end delivery, aligning sales and marketing on objectives, and evaluate results to improve continuously.
• Agencies, budget and team
• Own and optimise the marketing budget against commercial outcomes, making every rupee work hard.
• Select and manage PR, digital, creative, media and event agencies against clear scopes and performance standards.
• Lead, coach and grow a high-performing marketing team, working across Sales, Product, Technology, Legal and Compliance, Risk and Finance.
