Country Procurement Manager SG & MY
Job Description
Get to Know the Team
Grab Procurement is not a compliance function. We are a commercial intelligence engine, built to create enterprise value through smarter supplier relationships, sharper commercial models, and procurement infrastructure that lets the business move fast and spend wisely. We are mid-transformation, moving to an AI-native, outcomes-focused function where each person owns a material part of Grab's commercial landscape. If you want to run processes, this isn't the team. If you want to own outcomes, it is.
Get to Know the Role
Singapore is Grab's Regional Office and a local market; Malaysia is also a local market. Both need procurement that stays close to the business, moves quickly, and knows when sourcing calls for deeper assessment.
As Country Procurement Manager for Singapore and Malaysia, you'll connect business teams with Procurement across both markets and the Regional Office. Within Operational Excellence, you'll lead fast-cycle sourcing and handle more complex local sourcing when needed.
You'll partner with Category Managers, the Buy Desk, and a two-person team, bringing local market insight to day-to-day delivery and regional category decisions.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
• Partner with country and Finance leaders to clarify needs, objectives, constraints, and trade-offs. Bring in Category Managers when specialist expertise is needed.
• Own fast-cycle, low-materiality sourcing across Singapore, Malaysia, and the Regional Office. Set the sourcing approach, then hand awards to the Buy Desk for onboarding, purchase orders, and catalogue setup.
• Lead medium-to-high complexity local execution when category strategy and market conditions call for it. Shape negotiations with the Category Manager, who owns category strategy and leads regional or high-materiality awards.
• Surface local requirements early, challenge regional approaches that won't work locally, and give Category Managers clear recommendations.
• Turn repeat purchases into catalogues, rate cards, or standing agreements. Address split purchase orders and off-panel buying with the Buy Desk; track touchless rate and sourcing cycle time.
• Close and renew local contracts, monitor supplier performance and risk, propose mitigations, and track savings using Finance's methodology.
• Set priorities, review work, and coach two direct reports to run sourcing independently.
What Will Make You Thrive Here
• Put business outcomes first and clarify what’s needed versus simply wanted.
• Fix root causes and build scalable solutions instead of repeating sourcing work.
• Challenge with local facts while maintaining strong partnerships.
• Coach your team toward independent delivery.
• Use AI to accelerate analysis and drafting, verify its output against facts and policy, and own the final judgment.
