Job Description
Get to Know the Team
The Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA) team, part of Grab's Analytics function, owns the data behind Grab's regulatory obligations across Southeast Asia. We build and run the data pipelines that produce regulatory reports for financial regulators, including OJK and Bank Indonesia, Bank Negara Malaysia, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the Bank of Thailand. We also support AML transaction monitoring and regulatory audits, working closely with Country Compliance, AML and Fraud, Risk, Finance and Engineering. Our numbers go to regulators, so accuracy, traceability and on-time delivery come first.
Get to Know the Role
As the Senior Data Analyst, you will be the analytics owner of regulatory reporting for Grab's e-money, payments and P2P lending businesses in Indonesia. You will take each report end to end, from interpreting the regulation to delivering a validated output to Compliance for submission, and be the go-to person when Compliance, auditors or regulators ask how a number was produced. You will report into the Analytics Manager, Compliance, and work onsite at our Jakarta office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
• You will take end-to-end ownership of daily, weekly and monthly regulatory reports for OJK, Bank Indonesia and industry bodies, such as SLIK, Pusdafil, APOLO and fintech data centre reporting, delivering them accurately and on time.
• You will translate new and changed regulations into documented data requirements, definitions and pipeline changes, agreeing the interpretation with Compliance before go-live.
• You will reconcile regulatory outputs against Finance records and across related reports, find the root cause of discrepancies, and automate data-quality checks to replace manual reconciliation.
• You will build and maintain reliable, reproducible reporting pipelines on Airflow and Spark, and resolve failures and source-data changes before submission deadlines.
• You will assess the reporting impact of product launches, system migrations and source-data changes, and partner with Engineering to test them before cut-over.
• You will provide traceable, transaction-level analysis for regulatory audits, regulator data requests and AML transaction monitoring.
• You will communicate data issues and their impact to mid-to-senior Compliance, Finance and Risk partners, and mentor junior analysts on reporting best practices.
• You will build AI tools and self-serve solutions that speed up report development and validation, while keeping confidential data protected.
